If Oracle wants to attract Ruby on Rails developers then the first thing they need to do is to release Oracle Instant Client for Intel Mac. Mac users are begging this for very long time.
If Oracle people would come to Ruby on Rails conferences then they would see that 90% of attendants are using MacBooks and this is the main development platform for Ruby on Rails.
Raymon,
Thanks for yourcomment; i fully agree and we are actively working with our porting team to make this happen as soon as possible.

That's great news. In my opinion, unix (including mac osx) and ruby + oracle has set the stage for a grassroots style technology movement of a sheer magnitude unlike any seen in quite some time.
When is oracle going to release even the beta for the instant client for intel mac (the #1 platform for ruby)?
I like your post very much. It is very much useful for my research. I hope you to share more info about this. Keep posting ruby on rails online training india
